    For a highly efficient function in flue gas desulphurization plants (FGD) high-graded mist eliminators must be used. Separators from LangQing. working on the impingement principle fulfill these requirements concerning a very good separation grade, high availability and a long durability. The mist eliminator consists of well engineered, flow effective lamellas which are parallel arranged and passed through by the flue gas. The gas flow is deflected inside the mist eliminator elements and the contained droplets are separated from the stream.     The mist eliminator system consists of two stages: The first stage is the so called coarse eliminator and the second stage the fine eliminator.
    除雾器系统有两级组成:下级的除雾器是所谓的粗除雾器,第二级的除雾器是精除雾器。
     
    The liquid, that has to be separated, contains a great amount of solid particles. To avoid the set down of these solids on the lamellas and the clogging of the mist eliminator, the system must be cleaned in regular intervals. This will be done by the nozzle pipes of the spray system which are arranged up-and downstream of each stage. The spray system will be operated according to a given program and flush water onto the mist eliminator elements and rinse off the solid particles. With this procedure long operating times of the eliminator system between the inspection intervals can be reached.

    All these parameters influence the operation of the total system and must be considered during engineering and design.

    The composition of the flushing water is of particular importance. The composites must not trigger any subsequent reaction in the mist eliminator which can, in turn, result in so called Hardscaling on the part of the deposits on the separator. Hardscaling are crystalline and hard particles which can not be flushed away by the spray system.

    Trouble-free mist eliminator operation cannot thus be seen in isolation but must, rather, be regarded as an integral part of the complete separator system. The coordination of the additional components and process control is to a considerable extent a prerequisite for faultless mist eliminator operation.

    1.2 Function功能
     
    The design of the mist eliminator system is called FGD-S/FH1 As mentioned before the mist eliminator is an impingement separator, designed for vertical flowlevel flow. By the flow effective design of the lamellas the droplets are separated from the gas flow by their own inertia.

    The lamellas split the gas flow into single streams. The change of direction products inertia in the droplets and they strike the lamellas and build a liquid film on the lamellas.

    Under gravity influence the liquid film moves downwards and falls back into the absorber sump.

    1.3 Performance and Operation Data/性能和操作数据
     
     
    The design and engineering of the Lang Qing. mist eliminator is done with a special calculation method and considers all major influences.

    For this reason the FGD plant must run within the design parameters to assure a high effective performance of the mist eliminator. This is especially important for the gas flow velocity, which must be within design range. Local exceeding of the flow velocity is only allowed within the given limits. The maximum flow velocity was determined during engineering from the operation data of the FGD plant and is fixed in the technical data sheets.

    The same must be followed for the operation temperature. To avoid damages at the mist eliminator the mentioned maximum temperature must not be exceeded.

    1.4PressureDrop/压降                                    
    The pressure drop of the mist eliminator system is stated in the technical data sheets and is part of the guarantee for the system. It always refers to clean lamellas and does not consider negative influences up-or downstream of the mist eliminator.
    技术数据表内规定的除雾器压降是系统质保的一部分。它是指叶片在干净情况下的压降,没有考虑除雾器向上及向下气流所造成的消极影响。
     
    Constant measuring of the pressure drop of the mist eliminator is recommended. A high rise of the pressure drop is a hint for a change in the system and activities to get back to the normal parameters, must be taken.

    1.5 Spray System/冲洗系统
     
     
    Coarse mist eliminator stage is up-and downstream equipped with nozzle pipes. Fine mist eliminator stage is only upstream equipped with nozzle pipes.
    下级除雾器配有向下和向上的带喷嘴的冲洗管道。第二级除雾器只有向上的带喷嘴的冲洗管道。
     
    Only soluble deposits can be rinsed with this system. It must be assured that the specified wash water quality and pressure upstream the nozzles are within the given range and that the cleaning cycles are performed as planed. These parameters must be monitored and documented.
    只有可溶的结垢可由冲洗系统清洁。在使用中必须确保规定的冲洗水质和喷嘴压力在允许的范围之内,设计的冲洗周期必须保证执行。这些参数必须予以监控并备份文件。
     
    A particularity negative influence has the already mentioned hardscaling. Hardscaling is the build up of non-soluble crystals at the lamellas of the mist eliminator. Whenever hardscaling appears, caused by in the design considered process conditions, the failure of the mist eliminator system can be the result.
    前面提到的硬结垢是特别的不利影响。硬结垢是由不可溶的结晶体在除雾器表面上堆积形成。一旦除雾器发生硬结构(设计考虑到的工艺条件所引起),除雾器系统可能产生故障。
     
    The spray system consists of a distributing pipe system with screwed in full cone nozzles.

    To get an optimized cleaning result, the spray program must be adjusted to the operating conditions of the FGD plant. For that reason the spray system must be operated in the specified intervals and, if necessary, re-adjusted to changing operating conditions of the FGD plant.

    It must be taken care, that there are no coarse particles in the wash water, which could lead to clogging of the nozzles and to failure of the spray system. Adequate particle filters must be installed within the wash water system

    After assembly of the spray system, it has to be controlled that there is no dirt left like rubber pieces, plastic pieces and insulation material in the pipe system.
